My Approach

I partner with my patients to create patient-centered plan that functionally optimizes body, mind and soul. Humans are unique, and each individual requires a specific approach to achieve wellness. The underlying goal is to hold patients accountable regarding lifestyle habits that improve cellular health. Healthy cells contribute to improved body systems and a robust immune system. After gathering information in our initial intake, we often employ lab testing to determine areas that require specialized attention. Review of labs and construction of a plan requires patient education and participation. I approach each patient wherever they are at in their journey. It is never too late to start.

Dream it

The beginning of all change is in our minds. If you’ve dreamt about being an improved version of yourself, maybe this is more than a dream? Our goal is to have you decide what you want and structure a plan for your dream to become your reality. We can create whatever we start to dream.

Build it

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink. We invite you to build a body mind and spirit that realizes the dream you have for yourself.

Hi, I’m Dr Babij.

I always knew I wanted to serve the human spirit. As a teen I was a lifeguard and through university I worked with handicaped individuals. After high school I completed my degree in psychology and decided to volunteer for the Hope Society for the blind in Africa. I travelled for more than a year and decided to travel home and go to medical school.

On my return I spent time in Indonesia and became friends with a physician who informed me about Naturopathic medicine. Treating the underlying cause of disease rather than subsequent side effects made sense to me so I applied to Naturopathic school.

After completing medical school I did a residency in a primary care setting-was then introduced to some alternative cancer therapies noticing that I could connect with and serve chronically ill patients. I honed in the practice of mind fortitude in chronic illness. A few years into my medical practice my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 gastric cancer. During this time, I was completing my fellowship with the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology while working at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Helping my mother navigate cancer treatment while working in a Cancer Hospital significantly impacted my outlook on cancer treatment.

In 2009 I moved to Alaska to provide Naturopathic oncology services at Providence hospital. In 2013 I began working with cancer patients at South Kenai peninsula hospital. Alaska Cancer Treatment Center in Anchorage asked me to join their group in 2015. As a Naturopathic provider I have spent my career working with conventional oncologists using evidence based Natural medicine. Understanding standard Oncology practice helps me to better inform patients regarding the treatment options and potential side effects.

In Cancer treatment our focus is to empower patients with education and a structured plan that considers their specific circumstances. Mental health is so very important in Cancer care. In my practice I strive to build patients mental strength through counseling and lifestyle education.
